Main Responsibilities



Leisure Assistants play a key role in the day-to-day operation, ensuring our facilities are clean, safe, and welcoming for our users. The primary responsibilities include supervising the swimming pool's, the set down and set up of sport activities, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining cleanliness of our facilities.

Role and Responsibilities



o Deal with customers in a friendly and professional manner.

o Carry out cleaning duties as necessary.

o Carry out regular 'walk arounds' of the Centre.

o Ensure that all Centre equipment is stored safely and securely when not in use.

o Report any maintenance issues using the appropriate procedures

o Assist the Duty Manager and Senior Leisure Assistant with any tasks involved in the operation of the Centre.

o Ensure that the cleanliness and presentation of the building and the surrounding areas is maintained to an agreed level.

o Any other duties as required by the Duty Manager or Management Team.

o Deliver a friendly welcome for all members and their guests when using the facilities

o Assist all members who have queries complaints or require information, in a polite, friendly and helpful manner.

o Lifeguard the pool/s when required Assist and supervise members and their guests in their use of the facilities, ensuring their safety and wellbeing at all times.

o Ensure members, guests and staff, observe club rules and enforce them where necessary.

o Set up and dismantle equipment as determined by the programme, in a proper and safe manner.

o Administer first aid where suitably qualified, in accordance with Company procedures.

o Comply with all operating procedures of the Health Club and Company.

o To maintain a professional attitude and ensure operational procedures are adhered to at all times.

Health & Safety



o To ensure that all equipment is used correctly and in accordance with current legislation.

o To work within the required standards of health and safety policies

o To complete checklists as required and ensure the facility is inspected regularly for any defect or reduction in service quality, and report as necessary to line manager.

Qualifications and Education Requirements



o National pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ), or willingness to complete within 2 months of employment (Essential)

o Passion for sport and fitness

o Experience of working within a customer service environment

o Team player and good communicator

o Excellent attention to detail

o Ability to use own initiative

o Trustworthy and Reliable

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 24,580.00 per year
