LEISURE ASSISTANT - THE LANES HEALTH CLUB - THE QUEENS HOTEL
About the role
To ensure an efficient, safe and friendly service to all members and visitors of the hotel & leisure club. Welcoming guests in the warmest manner and providing the best quality customer service and knowledge to the guests, maintain a warm and friendly environment, create strong customer relations, comply with the company's health & safety policy and other instructions and guidance relating to safety matter and internal procedures.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
You'll be the friendly face of the leisure club, assisting members & guests, promoting our services and maintaining high standards of the club.
Working in a team to provide high quality customer service to ensure that the service meets the expectations of the leisure clubs' members and guests.
Monitor the leisure club facilities including the gym, pool, sauna, steam room and changing rooms. To include Pool water testing and poolside cleaning duties.
To assist club members & guests using facilities, including instruction in the safe and appropriate use of equipment.
Using software to log membership data, replying to emails and to answer calls relating to membership and other leisure club enquiries.
Assist with opening and closing the leisure club; check fire exits, security and assistance required alarms. Report any defects or hazardous items and complete quality assurance checks, ensuring facilities are safe and fit for use. Ensure that all daily work/cleaning schedules are documented by the accurate completion of check/control sheets.
Complete essential and routine cleaning across all the leisure club's facility. This includes changing rooms, toilets, reception, gym area, sauna, steam room and plant rooms.
Support usage of the facilities by completing tours for potential customers and assist members to get the most from their membership by providing inductions, programmes, advice and instruction where required. Utilise appropriate technology to assist the enrolment, engagement and retention of members.
Complete mandatory training courses i.e.; COSHH, Health & safety, manual handing and work with the appropriate line manager to identify development opportunities that will benefit both the individual and the service.
Further training in First aid, Pool responder & Fitness Instruction/ PT level 2&3 would be available to the right candidate
Job Types: Full-time, Temporary, Fixed term contract
Pay: 12.23 per hour
