Job Overview

• To assist the site team with the day-to-day running of the sports & leisure facilities during community time, ensuring the smooth running and running of the facilities.
• Responsible for ensuring that high standards of customer service are met and maintained on a daily basis.
• Ensuring a high standard of cleanliness is maintained in the areas being used for Third Party Income. Main areas changing rooms, sports hall and gymnasium including cubicles, showers, toilets and drains, theatre and changing areas.
• Ensuring that the appropriate equipment is set out at the right time and in the correct places (both indoor and outdoor) and that such equipment is immediately returned to the appropriate storage area after use, also checking against any equipment damage or loss.
• Completing inspection checks before and after bookings, and reporting to the MITIE PFI Service Desk via the reporting procedures any damage to equipment or fabric of the buildings during community activities.
• Carrying out remedial works following damages to ensure school is fully operational following the weekend activities, writing of detailed reports in these instances.
• Ensuring that users vacate the facilities at the correct time.
• Maintaining a vigilant attitude to security both in and around the buildings at all times.
• Assisting where necessary with third-party (community users) enquiries in an efficient and courteous manner.
• Managing emails from the community centre and updating the monthly charge sheets. Raising invoice requests for monthly charges.
• Ensuring all operations are carried out as detailed within operating procedures.
• Primary fire warden responsibilities for the site during these hours.
• Primary responsibility for the operation of the pools during these hours including pool tests, cleaning of the pool and backwashes set accordingly. Required to complete a Pool Plant operators course.
