Job Description


We have a great opportunity based at Trinity Arts & Leisure Centre for an Assistant Manager to become a key member of our Bedford College Services department.

As an Assistant Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the success of our students through:

  • To be responsible on a rota basis for the safe operation of the Centre.
  • To provide services to internal and external customers effectively
Plus one of the following:
  • To have lead responsibility for the effective operation of all \'wetside\' activities, including ensuring all specific health and safety duties are met.
OR
  • To have lead responsibility for the effective operation of all \'dryside\' activities, including ensuring all specific health and safety duties are met.
OR
  • To have lead responsibility for the effective organisation and training of all Associates in \'wetside\' and \'dryside\' areas in consultation with designated Assistant Managers
Our ideal candidates will have evidence of high performance in previous roles/jobs and experience of working effectively with people from diverse backgrounds, alongside the following qualifications:
  • NPLQ fully qualified or about to achieve this
  • Level 2 qualification in
  • relevant subject
  • English and mathematics or similar at GCSE grade A-C or equivalent or willingness to achieve this at work

Contract Type - Bedford College Services
  • 40 hours per week (1.0 FTE) / 52 weeks per year
  • 25 days per annum (plus public holidays), pro rata for part-time
