Our leisure facilities include a leisure pool, sauna, steam room, Jacuzzi, well-equipped gym, sports hall, and aerobics studio, serving both hotel guests and a growing local membership base.
We are now seeking an
experienced and motivated Fitness & Leisure Club Manager
to lead our leisure operation and work collaboratively alongside six other department managers across the hotel.
This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious leisure professional -- either a current gym manager or senior leisure supervisor -- ready to take the next step and add real value to our members' and guests' experience.
The Role
As Fitness & Leisure Club Manager, you will have full responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the leisure club, ensuring high standards of service, safety, compliance, and team performance.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Managing and developing a team of approximately
10 gym staff
and
8 domestic team members
Creating and managing
weekly staff rotas
Ensuring full
legislative compliance
, including health & safety, pool plant operations, and water hygiene
Overseeing the
member journey and experience
, setting service standards and resolving member needs and concerns
Maintaining accurate
filing, records, and compliance documentation
Supporting membership growth and
driving gym sales
, where possible
Working collaboratively with other department managers to deliver a seamless guest experience
Supporting and developing leisure programmes and fitness timetables

Essential Qualifications & Experience
REPs Level 3 Personal Training qualification
Pool Plant Operations certification
General knowledge of Legionella and its control
Previous
management or supervisory experience
within a leisure, fitness, or health club environment
Strong understanding of
health & safety
and operational compliance
Ability to lead, motivate, and manage teams effectively
Flexible approach to working hours to meet business needs
Desirable (But Not Essential)
Group fitness class instruction qualifications
(Classes covered will be paid additionally on top of salary)
Experience in
gym sales and membership growth
First Aid at Work qualification
Experience delivering or overseeing fitness programmes
