An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced lettings professional to step into a Lettings Manager role within a successful and well-established residential lettings business in Basildon. This is a senior position offering genuine autonomy, strong earning potential, and the opportunity to manage and grow your own branch.
This role is suited to a confident and motivated Lettings Manager or Senior Lettings Negotiator with leadership experience who is ready to take full ownership of branch performance, people management, and customer service delivery.
The Role
As Lettings Manager, you will be responsible for running the branch as your own business, with full accountability for performance, profitability, and service standards.
Your responsibilities will include:
Managing day-to-day lettings operations and driving branch profitability
Leading, motivating, coaching, and developing a lettings team to achieve and exceed targets
Winning new instructions and building long-term relationships with landlords
Providing expert advice to landlords on pricing, legislation, and market conditions
Ensuring tenants receive a consistently high standard of service throughout the lettings process
Identifying and maximising new business opportunities
Monitoring local market trends and positioning yourself as a trusted local lettings expert
Ensuring compliance with all relevant lettings legislation and company procedures
The Ideal Candidate
This role is open only to experienced lettings professionals. You will need to demonstrate:
Proven experience within residential lettings, ideally at Senior Negotiator or Manager level
A strong track record of building and maintaining landlord relationships
Previous experience leading, coaching, or mentoring a team
A driven, self-motivated, and results-focused mindset
The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, target-driven environment
A passion for delivering exceptional customer service
A strong work ethic and commitment to personal and team success
A full, valid UK driving licence
Salary and Benefits
Salary of 28,000 - 29,000 per annum
Realistic on-target earnings of 50,000, with guaranteed earnings for a fixed period
