We are seeking an experienced and motivated Lettings Manager to lead and oversee the lettings function for our property portfolio of our estate agency. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the lettings team, driving performance, ensuring legal compliance, and delivering excellent customer service to landlords and tenants.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the day-to-day operations of the lettings department
Lead, motivate, and develop the lettings team to achieve targets
Generate new business and grow the lettings portfolio
Conduct market appraisals and win new instructions
Build and maintain strong relationships with landlords and tenants
Ensure all properties are marketed effectively across portals and channels
Oversee tenancy progression from offer to move-in
Ensure compliance with UK lettings legislation (e.g. Right to Rent, EPCs, Gas Safety, EICR, deposit protection)
Handle complex negotiations and resolve disputes or complaints
Monitor departmental performance, KPIs and financial targets
Work closely with senior management to implement business strategies
Requirements
Proven experience in residential lettings, ideally in a management role
Strong knowledge of UK lettings legislation and compliance
Excellent leadership, communication and negotiation skills
Target-driven with a strong commercial mindset
Highly organised with a good attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Full UK driving licence
Desirable Qualifications
ARLA Propertymark qualification (or working towards)
Previous experience managing a lettings team
Knowledge of property management processes
