Oak Estates is a small well established but growing lettings agency in Sheffield, managing a diverse portfolio of properties and tenants. We pride ourselves on providing a professional yet personal service to both landlords and tenants. As our portfolio grows, we're looking for a motivated and organised Lettings & Property Manager to join our team and take ownership of the day-to-day running of the business.
The Role
This is a combined role covering both
lettings
and
property management
- perfect for someone who enjoys variety, responsibility, and working closely with both landlords and tenants. You'll be supported by a part-time administrator, but will be the main point of contact for Oak Estates' tenants and landlords.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the entire lettings process from initial enquiries through to tenancy agreements.
Advertising properties and managing enquiries
Arranging and conducting property viewings
Processing applications, references, and tenancy agreements
Managing move-ins, renewals, and check-outs
Handling tenant queries, maintenance issues, and inspections
Ensuring properties remain compliant (gas, electrical, EPCs, licences, etc.)
Chasing rent arrears and liaising with accounts
Keeping landlords updated with clear, professional communication
Develop and implement marketing strategies to attract potential tenants.
Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and best practices in property management.
Collaborate with maintenance teams to ensure properties are well-maintained
Provide exceptional customer service, fostering positive relationships with clients.
Experience
Proven experience in the property management or lettings sector is essential.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are crucial for effective interaction with clients and colleagues.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Confident using property management software (training provided if needed)
Able to work independently and take ownership of tasks
ARLA qualification desirable but not essential (support can be provided)
Full UK driving licence required
