ROLE: Level 1 Teaching Assistant (1 to 1s)

HOURS: 37 hours (Full Time)

SALARY: 23,390.10 pa (actual salary)

WEEKS PER YEAR: Term Time +1 Week

CONTRACT STATUS: Multiple Temporary Roles

CLOSING DATE: Tuesday 8th December 2025 (noon)

INTERVIEW DATE: Tuesday 15th December 2025

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work under the guidance of teaching staff to provide support for pupils in the classroom.

Responsibilities

Assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons tailored to diverse learning needs Support children with autism, disabilities, or special educational requirements to ensure they participate fully in classroom activities Provide one-on-one assistance to children, including toddlers, to promote their social and academic development Implement behaviour management strategies under the guidance of teaching staff Help organise classroom materials and resources for effective lesson delivery Support children during breaks, lunch, and outdoor activities to ensure their safety and well-being Foster positive communication with children, parents, and staff to promote a collaborative learning environment Contribute to creating an inclusive atmosphere that respects individual differences and promotes confidence

We are looking for someone who:

Has GCSEs in Maths and English (or equivalent). Is committed to supporting children's learning and wellbeing. Can work effectively as part of a team and communicate well with pupils and staff Previous experience working with children is highly desirable Experience in teaching or educational support roles will be considered an asset but is not mandatory; training will be provided for suitable candidates interested in developing their skills further
