We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nursery Nurse to join our childcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children, supporting their early development and learning. Duties
Supervise and care for children in a nursery setting, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
Plan and implement age-appropriate educational activities that promote early childhood development
Support children's emotional, social, and physical growth through personalised care
Maintain accurate records of children's progress and daily routines
Collaborate with colleagues to organise daily schedules and activities
Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding children's development and behaviour
Manage the nursery environment to ensure it remains clean, safe, and stimulating
Demonstrate leadership by guiding junior staff members and volunteers when necessary
Assist in organising outings or trips, including transportation arrangements if required
Qualifications
Proven experience working with children within a nursery or childcare setting
Knowledge of early childhood education principles and child development stages
Strong management and leadership skills to oversee daily operations effectively
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
Childcare qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent are preferred
Ability to demonstrate patience, empathy, and professionalism when working with young children
Valid driving licence is advantageous for transportation duties
Experience with management responsibilities within a childcare environment is desirable
