Vacancy:

We are looking for a

Level 2 or 3 Childcare Practitioner

to join our Setting. We provide playgroup, Early Education, After-school and Holiday Care.

Level 2 candidates with relevant experience will be considered.

Part time position

:

Approximately 23 hours plus per week, and flexibility with extra hours. Job share considered.

Hourly rate

Begins at national minimum wage rising depending on experience and qualifications.

Hours are between 8am - 5.15pm, to include all day care, after-school, and holiday club on a supply basis, to coincide with school terms.

Job description:

Munchkins is based in Ysgol Llanbedr, we are currently looking for an enthusiastic Level 2 or 3 CCPLD or CCLD Early year's practitioner (essential) to join our friendly team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a safe, stimulating environment and high-quality care and education for children aged 2 to 11 years. Candidates should hold a playworker qualification or a willingness to work towards this.

We are committed to delivering high quality childcare and you will be offered on-going training and professional development.

This position will be subject to a DBS check, safe recruitment and right to work in the UK checks. Salary will be dependent upon experience and qualification.

The ideal candidate will:

Hold Level 3 or 2 Early years Childcare qualifications and be willing to undertake further training and qualifications, as appropriate.

Hold a Playworker qualification or be willing to work towards this.

Help continue to promote and move the setting forward.

Be competent to record children's skills and outcomes (ensuring they are all progressing and learning.)

Ensure planning and topic activities are set out each day.

Set up, clearing away and cleaning resources.

Be familiar with and compliant with National Minimum Standards (CIW) and the Curriculum for funded non-maintained nursery settings.

Work as part of a team, communicating well.

Attend training as required, and weekly staff meetings.

Respect the confidentiality of the children in their care.
