Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will support pharmacists in dispensing medications, providing excellent patient care, and ensuring the smooth operation of the pharmacy. Responsibilities

Assist pharmacists with dispensing prescriptions accurately and efficiently Prepare and label medication containers in accordance with legal and safety standards Maintain organised stock levels, including ordering and stock rotation Support patients with over-the-counter products and answer basic queries about medications Ensure the pharmacy environment remains clean, safe, and compliant with health regulations Support medication administration processes under supervision where applicable Provide excellent patient care by offering friendly assistance and information as needed Manage administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and maintaining patient records

Requirements

Previous experience as a pharmacy technician or in a similar healthcare role is desirable Knowledge of medication administration procedures is advantageous Strong organisational skills with attention to detail Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members Ability to work accurately under pressure in a busy environment A genuine interest in patient care and healthcare services Flexibility to work shifts as required, including some weekends or evenings if necessary Relevant qualifications or certifications in pharmacy assistance or related fields are preferred but not essential
