Job Description

Mini Swimming are looking for a new teacher to join our expanding team. We are looking to recruit at least one new teacher to work at least 3 shifts per week, in our Chelmsford and Colchester pools. The successful candidate will obtain full in pool. We are looking for a Level 2 teacher with either STA Award/Certificate or equivalent. The shift patterns to be agreed, but would be :-

2/3 x weeknights and some potential ad-hoc weekend hours.

The role would potentially be be aimed at teaching primary school aged children from 4 years to 11 years.

This is not a school day job so please do not apply if you are looking for just a school hours job. Classes run up to 47 weeks of the year.

This is an all year round role and not suitable to University students who do not live year round in Chelmsford/Colchester.

Candidates must have a passion for working with children and a love of swimming. Experience of working with children or high level competitive swimming personally is a must.

Candidates must be really willing to work hard, learn and master their new craft and be committed to being the absolute best teacher possible. Candidates will be assigned a mentor to guide and develop them but they must bring to the party the effort and energy to practice and learn at home to boost their pool efforts.

Responsibilities

Assist in teaching swimming techniques to children in a safe and engaging environment. Monitor and ensure the safety of all participants during swimming sessions. Provide feedback and encouragement to help students improve their swimming skills. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the swimming area and equipment.
Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 13.50-19.00 per hour
