Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Swim Instructor to join our team at swim scholars at our lovely pool in Gouroc. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for teaching children age 4 to 10 years our academy level. As a Swim Instructor, you will be responsible for providing high-quality swimming instruction to individuals of ages 4 to 10 and skill levels, ensuring a safe and enjoyable learning environment.

Responsibilities

Deliver engaging swimming lessons tailored to the needs of each student, from beginners to advanced swimmers. Assess students' swimming abilities and progress, providing constructive feedback to enhance their skills. Create lesson plans that incorporate safety protocols and swimming techniques. Maintain a safe and clean environment in and around the pool area, adhering to all health and safety regulations. Communicate effectively with students and their guardians regarding progress, concerns, and recommendations for improvement. Foster a positive atmosphere that encourages confidence and enjoyment in swimming. Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills.

Requirements

Hold level 2 certification STA or Scottish swimming equivalent. Safety award for teachers. If applicants do not hold qualification courses are available on here https://www.safetytrainingawards.co.uk/qualifications/swimming-teaching/sta-certificate-in-teaching-swimming/ Strong knowledge of swimming techniques and safety practices. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with students of all ages. Ability to work Sunday mornings from 8.30am to 12.30pm delivering 1 to 1 and group lessons. A genuine passion for teaching and helping children improve their swimming abilities.
