Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Swim Instructor to join our aquatic programme. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching swimming skills to individuals of all ages and abilities in a safe, supportive, and engaging environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise your sports coaching and teaching skills while promoting water safety and confidence among participants.

Our Academy teaches to a high swim england standard so we can filter swimmers through to the club.

Duties

Deliver structured swimming lessons tailored to the needs of diverse age groups and skill levels Demonstrate proper swimming techniques and water safety procedures Monitor participants during lessons to ensure safety at all times Provide constructive feedback to help swimmers improve their skills and confidence Maintain a clean and organised pool area, adhering to health and safety regulations Plan lesson programmes that promote progression and enjoyment Engage with parents or guardians regarding their child's progress when appropriate Assist in organising aquatic events or specialised training sessions as required

Requirements

Level 1 and 2 Swim teaching qualification Safegaurding certificate via swim England Experience within the aquatics industry is essential DBS (we will sort that out) NRASTC certificate Strong communication skills with the ability to motivate and encourage learners of all ages Knowledge of water safety standards and first aid certification is desirable Enthusiastic, patient, and able to create a positive learning atmosphere Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if necessary to cover other lessons

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: 15.00-23.80 per hour

swimming teaching at level 2: 2 years (preferred)
