Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Swim Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching and educating individuals of all ages in swimming techniques and water safety. As a Swim Instructor, you will play a crucial role in fostering a safe and enjoyable environment while helping students develop their swimming skills. Baby and toddler qualification also preferred or an interest in achieving this qualification.

Hours: Saturday 8.30am-12pm and or Sunday 8.30am - 10.30am ( With Sunday hours increasing as new classes are added)

- Small group lessons max 5 swimmers per class

- Following Swim England Learn to Swim programme

- 1:1 and 2:1 lessons

- Family run swim school dedicated to proving fun and engaging lessons

Responsibilities

Conduct swimming lessons for individuals or groups, catering to various skill levels from beginners to advanced swimmers. Educate students on water safety practices and the importance of swimming skills. Develop lesson plans that are engaging, structured, and tailored to meet the needs of each student. Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to encourage improvement. Maintain a safe and clean swimming environment, ensuring all equipment is in good condition. Communicate effectively with students and their guardians regarding progress and any concerns. Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance coaching skills. Open and close pool as required, full training will be provided

Requirements

Previous experience in teaching swimming is highly desirable. Strong communication skills with the ability to educate effectively. A passion for working with people of all ages, particularly children. Ability to demonstrate swimming techniques clearly and confidently. Current certification in CPR and first aid is preferred but not mandatory; training may be provided. Must be reliable, punctual, and possess a positive attitude towards teaching and learning. Experience of children with SEN an advantage
