Level 2 Teaching Assistant
Location: York, North Yorkshire
Salary Scale: \xc2\xa376 - \xc2\xa390 per day
Start Date: September 2023
Contract Type: Part-Time, 30 hours per week

GSL Education are seeking a Level 2 Teaching Assistant to work at a Client Secondary School in York, North Yorkshire for a September 2023 start. If you have a desire to support students\' learning journey and contribute to their personal growth, this is the perfect opportunity for you!

As a Level 2 Classroom Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in assisting teachers in delivering high-quality education to the diverse student body. Level 2 Teaching Assistant requirements:

• Experience and knowledge of social, emotional, and mental health needs (SEMH).
• Hold a Level 2 Teaching Assistant Certificate, Diploma or Qualification.
• Have at least 6 months experience in an educational setting which can be referenced.
• Be able to engage with young people and build effective relationships.
• Be confident in managing behaviour within a school setting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
• Hold an Enhanced DBS registered to the update service or be willing to apply for a new one with GSL Education. DBS sponsorship is available for this position.

Level 2 Teaching Assistant duties:

• Working under the direction and guidance of teachers supporting individuals, small groups, and whole class situations.
• Conduct General Teaching Assistant duties including administration tasks.
• Use strategies, in liaison with the relevant staff members, to support pupils to achieve learning goals.
• Assisting with classroom management and behaviour support.
• Support with the planning of learning activities.
