We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Years Educator to join our outstanding Pre-School and be part of our strong team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for age range 9 months -5 yrs, supporting their developmental needs through engaging activities. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise your skills within a dynamic early childhood education setting. The ideal applicant will have experience working with children, possess a level 3 qualification, demonstrate strong communication skills, and demonstrate a genuine commitment to fostering children's growth and learning. This is a part time term time only position and pay according to experience.
Responsibilities
Plan and deliver age-appropriate educational activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.
Supervise children during playtime, meals, and rest periods, ensuring their safety at all times.
Maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming environment that encourages exploration and learning.
Support children's individual needs by recognising their interests and developmental stages.
Collaborate with colleagues to develop programmes that meet the requirements of early childhood education standards.
Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding children's progress, behaviour, and any concerns.
Lead by example in demonstrating positive behaviour management strategies and fostering inclusive practices.
Assist with administrative tasks related to child records, attendance, and activity planning as required.
Contribute to ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in early childhood education.
Experience
Proven experience working with children in a nursery or early years setting is essential.
Demonstrable knowledge of the EYFS and development matters.
Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, are required to effectively engage with children, parents, and team members.
Experience with organising activities that support child development is highly valued.
