Job Description

We are looking for a happy, positive, reliable, experienced and knowledgeable person. You will be able to contribute to a safe, caring, exciting, stimulating environment, appropriate for our babies.

It is important that you can work in real partnership with all our Parents/Carers, including holding Parent/Carer Meetings.

You should have high expectations for all children, including those with additional needs, ensuring that they are fully supported in all aspects of the Nursery curriculum.

Paperwork is not excessive here, but you will still need to monitor, observe, assess and plan for children's development on a Tablet, keep accurate and up to date records of their achievements, progression and any developmental requirements.

Support the Team to action and monitor all Safeguarding issues and to ensure that appropriate action is taken, advice sought, guidance followed, and records are accurate.

Model, support and develop good practice and high standards at all times.

Support the effective communication between Nursery staff and all partner organisations and professionals associated with Kids in Bloom.

Responsibilities



Create and implement engaging educational activities that promote learning through play. Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment for all children. Observe and assess children's development, providing feedback to parents and guardians. Communicate effectively with children, colleagues, and parents to ensure a collaborative approach to education. Manage classroom behaviour by promoting positive interactions among children. Lead by example, demonstrating best practices in early childhood education. Support children's individual needs, including those with additional requirements. Maintain accurate records of children's progress and development. Drive initiatives that enhance the overall nursery experience for both children and staff.

Qualifications



A recognised qualification in Early Childhood Education or equivalent is essential. Previous experience working with young children in a nursery or educational setting is highly desirable. Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate others. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written. A genuine passion for childcare and early years education. Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail. Knowledge of child development theories and practices is advantageous. A proactive approach to problem-solving and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
