Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner to join our childcare team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education and a genuine interest in supporting children's development in a nurturing environment. This role offers an opportunity to utilise management and leadership skills whilst working closely with children to foster their growth and learning.

Duties

Plan and deliver engaging activities tailored to the developmental needs of children in the nursery setting Supervise children ensuring their safety and well-being at all times Support children's social, emotional, and educational development through personalised care and interaction Maintain a clean, organised, and stimulating environment conducive to learning Collaborate with colleagues to develop programmes that promote early childhood development Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's progress and any concerns Assist with administrative tasks related to child records and daily reports Manage behaviour positively, encouraging good manners and social skills Occasionally drive nursery vehicles for outings or pick-ups, subject to driving licence validity

Skills

Proven experience with children, ideally within a nursery or early childhood education setting Strong management and leadership capabilities to guide both children and team members effectively Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to liaise confidently with parents, colleagues, and children Childcare qualifications recognised within the UK (e.g., Level 3 Early Years Educator) are desirable Knowledge of childcare regulations and best practices in early childhood education Ability to organise activities that stimulate learning while ensuring safety standards are met Driving licence is advantageous for organising outings or errands involving nursery vehicles Compassionate, patient, and adaptable approach to working with young children

Pay: 27,000.00-28,000.00 per year
