Barking Riverside Explorers is a Preschool and part of SENspired Limited, a multi-award winning Education business founded in Barking Riverside and 2025 business of the year, awarded by Barking and Dagenham Chamber of Commerce. Explorers is focused on innovation and delivering highest quality education, with a curriculum designed to holistically develop the child towards school readiness, and a preventative SEN model to help avoid delays and push every child to achieve their own potential.

The nursery is in the second year of operation, expansion will be ongoing, and employees will all be accustomed to constant evolution and ongoing improvement of the school. There will be a lot of opportunity to develop, but communication will be key to ensure a successful and happy work environment for you and the growing team.
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Level 3 or EYITT qualified practitioner to teach at our vibrant education facility. You will be planning and executing lessons and structured play, creating a nurturing environment for children, and complying with relevant regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Lesson planning and execution: Following the curriculum established by management, planning lessons accordingly and executing these lessons, tailored to the needs and abilities of children. These lessons must follow best practice teaching methodologies and be in line with educational standards.
- Health and Safety Compliance: Follow health and safety regulations and policies, maintaining a secure and healthy environment for children and colleagues.
- Continuous Improvement: Focus on upholding good teaching practices and providing feedback to management on the curriculum, to encourage continual improvement, with the childrens' education and development at the heart of it all.
- Feedback on child development to management to communicate with parents. Provide ideas for collaboration on ways to improve, in partnership with parents.
- Ensuring a safe environment for children to learn in and upholding Barking Riverside Explorers' safeguarding principles and policy.
Requirements:
Minimum of 1 year of experience teaching children aged 2-5 years old.
Relevant childcare qualification and knowledge of early childhood development principles.
Strong communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with other staff.
Understanding of and commitment to compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
First Aid and CPR certification preferred.
