SHIFTS= 2PM-6PM MONDAY-FRIDAY TERM TIME ONLY

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Play Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and possess the skills necessary to create a safe, engaging, and fun environment. As a Play Worker, you will be responsible for supervising and supporting children in their play activities, ensuring their well-being while promoting social interaction and development.

Responsibilities

Supervise and engage with children during playtime, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times. Facilitate various play activities that promote creativity, teamwork, and physical development. Communicate effectively with children, encouraging them to express themselves and develop social skills. Manage behaviour in a positive manner, using appropriate techniques to resolve conflicts among children. Maintain a clean and organised play area, ensuring all equipment is safe and suitable for use. Collaborate with other staff members to plan and implement age-appropriate activities in line with early childhood education principles. Provide support to children with special needs or those requiring additional assistance. Establish positive relationships with parents and guardians, providing feedback on their child's progress and experiences.

Requirements

Previous experience in childcare or working with children is essential. A background in early childhood education or relevant qualifications would be advantageous. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage groups of children effectively. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Ability to drive may be beneficial for transporting equipment or attending off-site activities. A genuine passion for working with children and fostering their development through play. Ability to work as part of a team while also being self-motivated when required.

Pay: 12,210.00-17,000.00 per year
