Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with children. This role involves creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young learners, fostering their development through play and structured activities. The Nursery Practitioner will play a key role in supporting the management team and leading a group of children in their daily routines. The role is initially to lead our Baby room.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement engaging educational activities that promote children's physical, emotional, and social development. Ensure the safety and well-being of all children in your care, maintaining a clean and organised nursery environment. Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication and teamwork. Observe and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents and adapting activities to meet individual needs. Support the management team in maintaining high standards of care and education within the nursery setting. Lead by example, demonstrating strong leadership skills while mentoring junior staff members. Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance skills and knowledge in early childhood education.

Qualifications

Relevant qualifications in Early Childhood Education or Childcare are essential. Previous experience working with children in a nursery or similar setting is highly desirable. Strong management and leadership abilities to guide staff effectively. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to engage with children, parents, and colleagues. A valid driving licence is preferred but not mandatory for this role. A genuine passion for childcare and commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment for all children.
