Monique Montessori Day Nursery is seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner/Educator to join our Outstanding babies and toddler team. As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where children can become thriving, independent little learners ready to take on all the challenges life may bring along their journey.
Job Profile

When working at Monique Montessori, you will be responsible for: -
Providing high-quality care and education to children under 2 years, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
Planning and implementing engaging activities that promote children's development across various domains, including physical, emotional, social, and cognitive skills.
Providing individualised support to meet the unique needs of each child.
Fostering positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication and collaboration.
Maintaining accurate records of children's progress and development, ensuring that each child's individual needs are met.
Supporting the management team by maintaining nursery standards, policies, and procedures while contributing to a positive team environment.
Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations within the nursery setting.
Fostering a positive and inclusive environment where diversity and equality is celebrated.
Roles and Responsibilities:-
Support children's development through effective observations, providing appropriate next steps using the Montessori and EYFS curriculums
Interact with a positive and social manner towards all children in your care without discrimination or bias
Supervise children at all times and support them where necessary
Ensure the needs of each individual child are being met, to include learning, feeding, intimate care and sleep
Contribute to maintaining the attractive and welcoming environment
assist with all housekeeping duties including laundry and general cleanliness of the setting.
Read, understand and implement all company values, policies, procedures and operational practices
Ensure safeguarding is always at the forefront of everything you do, particularly for children who are more vulnerable.
Maintain a positive attitude with children, parents, visitors and work colleagues.
Ensure confidentiality is maintained where appropriate
Attend staff inset days and training days as required
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate must have the following:
Full and relevant Level 3 qualification in early childhood education or childcare.
At least 2 years proven experience working with children under 2 years in a nursery or childcare setting.
Working knowledge and understanding of the EYFS
Excellent communication skills in English to engage with children, parents, and colleagues effectively.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
Patience, empathy and a genuine love for working with young children.
