Job Description
Dowdales School are looking to recruit a Level 3 Teaching Assistant Apprentice to join their team in September!
In this role you will support teachers and other teaching assistants in the delivery of a range of learning/skills and/or personal/practical support to meet needs and/or well-being for individuals and/or groups.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and provide particular support for students, including those with special needs, ensuring their safety and access to learning activities. Assist with the development and implementation of Individual Education/Behaviour Plans and Personal Care programmes. Establish constructive relationships with students and interact with them according to individual needs. Encourage students to interact with others and engage in activities led by the teacher. Provide clerical/admin support. Assist with learning activities. Monitor students' responses to learning activities and accurately record/achievement/progress as directed. Provide detailed and regular feedback to teachers on students' achievement, progress, problems etc. Support the use of ICT in learning activities and develop students' competence and independence in its use. Undertake structured and agreed learning activities/teaching programmes, adjusting activities according to student responses. Attend and participate in relevant meetings as required. Accompany teaching staff and students on visits, trips and out of school activities as required and take responsibility for a group under the supervision of the teacher.

Team player. Able to work as part of a team but also use own initiative. Good communication skills. Excellent organisational skills.
Working hours
Monday-Friday 8.30am-3.30pm
