Your Role

The Business Analyst role sits within the Irwin Mitchell\xe2\x80\x99s Chief Information Officer\xe2\x80\x99s team and will support the Service & Platforms or Change Teams. This role is essential in helping the business realise its ambitious vision through the identification and implementation of transformational change.

The Business Analyst will have dual responsibilities:

  • Contributing to the community of Business Analysis at Irwin Mitchell to ensure we support the growing needs of our transformation teams. This involves using and developing the tools and practices that support the quality research, analysis and design needed to make the step changes towards our strategic objectives.
  • Completing the analysis activity across the projects in our portfolios. This involves working with the delivery teams and senior and lead analysts to conduct the analysis activity in the programmes using the best approach and support the delivery team in finding solutions that solve the problem or meet the business need and are aligned to our target business designs.
Specific Responsibilities
  • Identify opportunities and solve problems by using data to identify and prioritise genuine problems and completing problem solving activity. You will also elicit information by exercising curiosity and using a range of business analysis tools and techniques to conduct the research needed to build an understanding of the business need or problem for a project or activity.
  • Act as the conduit between a variety of parties, gathering and translating information and subsequently conducting engagement and facilitation activity with a range of different stakeholders to build understanding and consensus on a project or activity. You will also analyse and synthesise complex information to create focus and find solutions to complete the required analysis activity and solution evaluation on projects.
  • You will also support in delivering the solution or design to meet the intended need and resolves the problem. You will communicate with stakeholders and use persuasion to deliver outcomes aligning with the strategic directions of the organisation.
  • You will drive focus on customer value and centricity and encourage business growth You will help prioritise client\xe2\x80\x99s issues and address them in best manner, is guided by client feedback in delivery of their duties.
Our Apprenticeship

What are the entry requirements?

You\xe2\x80\x99ll need 5 GCSEs at grade A* to C or 9 to 4, including maths and English (or equivalent). You\xe2\x80\x99ll also need at least 3 A Levels (or equivalent) at Grade C or above (excluding General Studies) to meet the minimum academic requirements needed to complete this apprenticeship.

What qualification will I gain?

You will attain the Level 4 Business Analyst apprenticeship upon completion of this programme.

When you finish this apprenticeship, we look to retain as many of our apprentices as possible. We can also look wherever possible to support further qualifications in the future.
