General Description of the job

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be required to ensure all goods are delivered in a timely manner.

You will need to be customer focused and have a good attention to detail in a multi-drop environment. The ideal candidate will have a C license with a detailed knowledge of the South East. The position requires a certain amount of manual handling so will need to be fit and have a good awareness of health and safety. You will need to be 25 years old or over in accordance with our company insurance policy.

Main Duties of the post:

Ensure vehicles are checked daily and any defects reported to Supervisor / Line Manager prior to leaving site. Carry out multi drop deliveries in a timely and safe manner and respect site rules of customer premises / property. On arrival ensure that the delivery is offloaded safely, check goods and obtain signature and date on the delivery note. Notify relevant department/ members of staff with any deliveries not met. Operate vehicles under conditions of Operators License and in accordance with the law. Maintain cleanliness of drivers cab and look after vehicle to ensure it not subjected to unnecessary damage. Observe and follow all health and safety procedures, including manual handling practices, dress code, and company standards.

Person specification:

You will be required to have a clean driving licence, Driver CPC and Driver Digi Card.

Your hours will be Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 4:00pm (Subject to road conditions and Customer Needs).
