Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Van Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of goods, ensuring that all deliveries are made on time and in compliance with traffic regulations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to manage various types of cargo, including flatbed loads.

Responsibilities

Operate vans in a safe and responsible manner while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. Load and unload cargo, ensuring that it is secured properly for transport. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures related to safety and operational efficiency. Assist in the maintenance of the vehicle, reporting any issues or required repairs promptly.

Qualifications

Valid driving licence (CDL) with a clean driving record. Experience as a delivery driver or in commercial driving is preferred. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively. Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused attitude. Ability to lift heavy loads and perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading cargo. A commitment to safety and adherence to all relevant regulations.
