About Us



The College of Richard Collyer in Horsham, 'Collyer's', is one of the leading sixth form colleges in the country and the no.1 choice for A Levels in West Sussex. The college has an attractive campus and classrooms are well resourced, with ambitious plans for growth in the coming years that are already started. There is a collegiate and professional ethos amongst staff and students within which excellent teaching and learning can flourish.



The College provides education for over 2,600 young people in the 16-19 age range. Around half of each year's intake comes from the four partner 11-16 schools in Horsham: Forest, Millais, Tanbridge House and Bohunt. Many others come from a wide range of schools which are further afield, including the independent as well as the maintained sector. Collyer's has a very successful and consistent record in external examinations. In 2024 the A level high grade rate (A*-B) was 59%. Results across our other course types such as vocational, technical, transition and GCSE are equally strong.

We are looking for a new member of staff to join our Library team to assist in providing effective and responsive library services to students and staff and to provide curriculum support to specified subjects and act as liaison between the departments and the Library. This post is fixed term for the Autumn term in the first instance with the possibility it will be extended.



The hours of work would be:



8.30am-4.30pm with 30 minutes unpaid break each day.




The successful candidate may be required to work a later shift for example 11.00am - 7.00pm on one of their working days to maintain team cover.

Salary:

Point 6 on the Support Staff Pay Scale. The annual salary for a FT post at this point is 24,575pa which is 20,605pa prorated for 37 hours pw term time only (5 days per week 0.8384fte 43.6 weeks paid per year) prorated for the fixed term period. The annual prorated salary for 22.5 hours (3 days per week 0.5098fte 43.6 weeks paid per year) would be 12,530pa prorated for the fixed term period.
