Grade 3, Salary 27902 to 30151 pro rata per annum (plus generous staff benefits package)
(Initial salary placement will normally be on the first point of the scale and will increase by annual incremental progression)
The post of temporary Library Assistant presents an excellent opportunity for a student-centred individual to play a key role within our Libraries Team.
You will provide the highest level of customer support to all users of the library both in person and online. Duties will include issuing, referencing, dealing with all enquiries, supervising library users, shelf order and administration. You will also be required to provide IT support to students using the library facilities and to support staff with enquires about appropriate teaching and learning resources and study facilities for students.
The successful candidate will have a relevant SCQF Level 4 qualification and have experience working with learner resources within a library setting. You must have excellent communication and organisational skills and be comfortable using and supporting students with a range of IT packages. It would be preferable if you have experience of using MS Teams, Heritage, MyPC, and Office365.
