About the Role
As a Library Services Assistant, you'll be at the heart of our operations, ensuring that every customer feels welcome and supported. From answering enquiries and assisting with ICT to helping coordinate events and exhibitions, you'll play a key role in making the library a vibrant and accessible space for all.
Your responsibilities will include:
Providing friendly, professional support to customers in person, by phone, and online
Assisting with ICT queries and promoting library services and events
Managing stock flow and handling payments for services
Supporting crowd and queue management, including emergency procedures
Maintaining a safe, inclusive environment in line with Equal Opportunities and Health & Safety policies
What We're Looking For
We're seeking someone who:
Has experience delivering front-line customer service in a public setting
Can confidently manage behaviour and ensure a positive environment
Is comfortable working with ICT systems and assisting customers with technology
Demonstrates flexibility, teamwork, and a commitment to quality service
