South Cambridgeshire District Council is an ambitious Council with an exciting green agenda for the future. We want to improve the quality of life for our residents, develop sustainable communities, and drive economic growth and prosperity. We're proud of what we've achieved so far, and we're committed to doing even better in the future.
Due to continued business growth, we have created a brand-new role in the Licensing Team. As Team Leader, you will oversee, manage and develop a team of Licensing Business Support Officers to deliver and administer a wide range of licences, consents and permits. You will assist the Principal Officer to ensure effective service delivery and performance management of officers.
You will be actively involved in supporting service development and improvement initiatives and develop and review licensing procedures and corporate service improvement projects, lead on formal complaints and FOIA requests.
The ideal candidate will have a broad understanding and working knowledge of local authority licensing regimes and experience of managing or supervising teams.
We offer a competitive salary, a hybrid working policy, and development opportunities which can broaden your career in a friendly and fun environment, where we face challenges as a team and celebrate successes together.
South Cambridgeshire District Council is a four-day week employer. We expect our colleagues to get 100% of their work done, in around 85% of their contracted hours, for 100% of their pay. All Council staff will be able to opt-in to this way of working under a Productivity Policy. We are a four-day week employer as it helps us attract and keep talented colleagues and improves services by reducing our reliance on costly agency workers. It also supports improved health and wellbeing.
For an informal discussion about the role please call Rachel Jackson - Principal Licensing Officer on 01954 713397.
