We're looking for kind, compassionate and proactive people to join our Life and Living Skills team at InFocus Charity in Exeter.

This is your opportunity to support and empower young people aged 16-25 with vision impairment and additional needs - helping them develop independence, confidence and life skills in real-life contexts. You'll be working as part of a fun and supportive team, providing personalised, meaningful support that makes a lasting difference.

About the role:


As a Life and Living Skills Support Worker, you'll help young people access our exciting Life and Living Skills Programme - which focuses on enabling choice, control and independence. You'll work across our day programme and residential service, supporting young people with daily routines, learning life skills, and getting involved in the community. Weekends may involve exploring local activities and events - ensuring students can live life to the fullest.

Within this role, you'll:

Support individuals to reach their personal goals and develop independent living skills Assist with planning and attending community-based activities Provide care and encouragement in a residential college setting Support weekend social and leisure activities Help build confidence, friendships and real-world experience

What we're looking for:


You don't need previous experience in a similar role - just a positive attitude, transferable people skills, and the motivation to make a difference. Whether your background is in care, education, hospitality, retail or another people-facing role, your communication, empathy and problem-solving abilities will shine here.
