Wild Acres Care Home is a friendly and welcoming family owned care home for 26 residents. We have an exciting opportunity to join us as a Lifestyle Activities Coordinator and are looking for that special person to join our amazing team.
- You will be expected to maintain a varied activities schedule catering for all residents, working in partnership with our current Activities Coordinator.
- Be aware of the needs and abilities of each individual, encourage residents to maintain pre existing hobbies and interests they enjoy
- Help organise and promote special events and themed days, resident outings. Continue relationships with the local community organisations, schools, churches, colleges and more
- Contribute to new ideas for fund raising initiatives and social activity.
- Update social media as required
- Work in partnership with the care team
- Record resident participation
What you will need
- Experience within a similar role is desirable or previous experience in a caring environment
Be organised, resourceful and well planned
A friendly, outgoing, caring and compassionate nature
A desire to improve the lives of older people
Very good communication/written skills
