The Role

To carry out tasks set by site supervisors and gangers to a high and safe standard.

Key Responsibilities

Operate and carry out job set tasks

Ensure have been briefed and understand all relevant risk and method statements Use best/safe practice on all tasks carried out Checks on any equipment that may use Ensure a safe tidy place of work

Ensure the completion of works is on time

Implement best practice procedures Maximise use of own working time Ensure signed up for all permits and briefings before commencing any work

Communication with site management

Communicate with site supervisor on any concerns Feedback to site management with near miss reporting Ensure to attend all site briefings, forums, and toolbox talks Deputise for conducting briefings and toolbox talks

Key measures & targets

Safely carry out tasks set by the site management team or ganger if part of a gang

Key relationships

Foreman/General Foreman Site Manager Site operatives Operations Manager

About you

Essential

A good experience in relevant site work Experience in general civil works (earthworks, drainage, ducting, kerbing, and concreting) CSCS card Either CPCS forward tipping dumper/ slinger signaller/ ride on roller/ 360 excavator/telehandler H+S awareness 1 day First Aid Good team worker

Desirable

SSSTS/SSMTS day environmental awareness NRSWA
