Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods and materials safely and efficiently. This role requires a strong understanding of vehicle operation, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with team members and clients. The Driver will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all safety regulations.

Duties

Operate various types of vehicles, including vans and flatbed lorries, for the delivery of goods. Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure vehicles are in safe operating condition. Load and unload cargo, ensuring that all items are secured properly during transit. Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required. Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues. Follow all traffic laws and regulations to ensure safe driving practices at all times. Provide excellent customer service by representing the company professionally during deliveries.

Skills

Strong mechanical knowledge to perform basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting. Experience in commercial driving, with a valid driver's licence appropriate for the vehicle type being operated. Familiarity with warehouse operations, including loading and unloading procedures. Previous experience as a flatbed driver or delivery driver is advantageous. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with team members and clients. Strong organisational skills to manage schedules and delivery routes efficiently. A commitment to safety and adherence to all transport regulations. 5 Years driving experience CPC required 2 Years LGV driving experience Any points on license will be questioned

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 12.50-13.00 per hour
