Job Description
Shunter Driver (must site shunting license or equivalent) - Based at our customer site in Scunthorpe DN15 9GE.
We have full time vacancy for a night shunter working Monday to Friday. The role is permanent. The shifts pattern is 16:00-02:00 (there may be some overtime available during busy periods).
You will be required to assist with holiday cover when the shift will be 18:00-06:00. Overtime will be paid for all hours worked when this is required.
Archbold is a family-owned business over 100 years' old.
We have a solid driver base, but we currently have a Shunter driver opportunity to work from our Scunthorpe depot.
We generally carry light, clean product, predominately cardboard.
Interaction with the traffic team is key and we pride ourselves on good driver/traffic relations.
As a shunter you need to ensure;
the safe movement of trailers around the depot.
Adhere to strict H&S guidelines.
Safely parking trailers
Manoeuvring laden and unladen trailers
- Strapping loads ready for transport
Successful candidates must have the either a site shunting license or the equivalent (i.e. Class 1 license)
You will need to ensure all documentation is accurately completed, adhere to safe working practices, and have a flexible approach to your work pattern as dictated by customer/operational requirements as well as complying with all legislation.
The position is weekly paid.

Pay: 630.00-816.00 per week
