Lighting Designer
Job Description
Our client is an international lighting design studio employing over 50 people and additional studios around the world.
We are hiring an Intermediate Lighting Designer (3-5+ years lighting design experience) to join the London team.
The projects you will work on are wide-ranging, including hotels & hospitality, retail, museums and luxury offices. The luminaires are very much designer and architecturally manufactured, so this will suit someone with experience working with similar lighting products.
You will assist the team in creating 2D layouts/3D renders, designs, schematics, calculations and presentations within project timelines.
Requirements
3-5 years of experience in a similar independent lighting consultancy BA or MA in Lighting Design or Architecture degree Competency and passion for 3D programmes such as Rhino, SketchUp, Revit High level of experience in Dialux Evo and 3D modeling integration Proficiency in graphic design and image editing software (Adobe Creative Suite) Familiar with digital sketching tools such as graphic tablets and sketching softwares (Sketchbook Pro, Adobe Fresco) Ability to read Architectural, Structural, Electrical drawings with minimal supervision Good knowledge of all construction stages Capability to apply applicable lighting codes, product market and controls knowledge
