Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated, part-time Line Cook to join our team at the Manor Farm.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to delivering high-quality meals in a fast-paced restaurant environment. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking various dishes, ensuring that all food safety standards are met while maintaining the highest level of quality and presentation.

Duties

Prepare ingredients for cooking, including chopping vegetables, preparing batch recipes for service, and measuring our ingredients to ensure reduced wastage. Cook menu items according to recipes and presentation standards, ensuring consistency in taste and quality. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen workspace, including equipment and utensils. Adhere to food safety regulations and hygiene practices at all times. Assist in meal preparation for special events or large orders as required. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient service during busy periods. Monitor stock levels of ingredients and report any shortages to the kitchen manager.

Requirements

Proven experience in a kitchen environment, preferably within a restaurant setting - Desired but not essential, all training will be provided. Strong culinary skills with an understanding of food preparation techniques. Familiarity with food safety practices and regulations. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent teamwork skills and the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues. A passion for cooking and a desire to learn new techniques and recipes.
