Responsibilities

Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards. Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely meal preparation and service. Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene throughout the cooking process. Assist in menu planning and contribute innovative ideas for new dishes. Handle food items safely, ensuring proper storage and handling procedures are followed. Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives and other culinary tools. Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist with ordering as needed. Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, including workstations, utensils, and equipment. Participate in catering events as required, providing exceptional service to guests.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Line Cook or in a similar role within the food industry. Strong culinary skills with a focus on food preparation, cooking, and presentation. Experience in fine dining or catering environments is preferred. Knowledge of dietary department practices and dietary aide responsibilities is a plus. Familiarity with menu planning, meal preparation, and serving techniques. Excellent knife skills and understanding of food safety regulations. Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
