About the Role:
We're looking for a dynamic and driven Line Leader to manage a team of operators. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that your team consistently achieves optimal output while maintaining high-quality standards. Your focus will be on fostering a safe working environment and actively promoting process improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
Health and safety
Ensure your team complies with all PPE requirements, operates all equipment safely & in accordance with company policies, procedure, legislation & training.
Monitor your line and immediately report any faulty/broken equipment to your supervisor or Health & Safety Manager.
Complete all safety line start - up checks.
Quality
Ensure that the relevant Product Standard & Manufacturing Specification is online.
Ensure all components are check off against works order before using.
Monitor product quality to ensure it meets quality standards.
Ensure that all equipment required to manufacture the job is available and operating properly.
Complete the Daily in Progress Check Sheets each hour.
Continuous improvements/ Team Development
Identify and notify your supervisor of any areas for improvement.
Lead or participate in continuous improvement projects to deliver measurable, sustainable results.
Evaluate, assess, and identify training needs of your team.
Output
Work closely with your supervisor, engineering, and QC teams to plan work, set targets.
Monitor your teams' performance/output and set targets for manual tasks (e.g., Carton erecting).
Provide backup for your supervisor, particularly during periods of absence.
Complete all relevant paperwork accurately and on time.
Changeovers
Be aware of the next planned job and organise everything required to complete the job e.g., line set up sheets/ standards / equipment / operators.
Manage changeovers ensuring incoming works order bulk and all components are correct.
