Enthuse and motivate colleagues and students to work hard and try their best.
Show an understanding of special educational needs within a school setting (including autistic spectrum, learning difficulties, behavioural and emotional difficulties).
Demonstrate personal resilience and role model those personal qualities we wish to instill in our young people.
YOUR MAIN DUTIES WOULD BE:
Deliver targeted literacy intervention sessions to small groups and individual students. Full training on our programmes will be given.
Assess students' literacy needs and track progress using baseline and follow-up assessments.
Collaborate with teaching staff to identify students requiring support and tailor interventions accordingly.
Adapt resources and strategies to meet the diverse literacy needs of KS3 and KS4 students.
Monitor and record student outcomes, providing regular feedback to the SENCo and wider pastoral/academic teams.
Literacy testing and co-ordination of intervention for EAL students.
