Lancers Solicitors is looking for a paralegal to join its Litigation Team in Birmingham.
We specialise in Landlord & Tenant, Property Litigation, Civil & Commercial Litigation, Debt Recovery and Commercial Leases.
The Litigation Team delivers high-quality legal services, and in this role, you'll support a busy team while managing your own caseload. The scope of work will likely evolve, covering residential and commercial property matters as well as civil and commercial litigation. You'll be responsible for fee-earning tasks and contributing to the department's profitability.

As a Paralegal, you will:
Manage a varied caseload of residential and commercial and property litigation, civil and commercial litigation and debt recovery cases under the supervision of a Partner or Associate
Handle own caseload from instruction to conclusion under the supervision of a Partner or Associate
Prepare/draft a variety of legal documents
Support senior colleagues in the preparation and collation of information and documentation to assist in the progression of cases
Liaise with courts
Attend client and other meetings and producing accurate notes of such meetings and activity lists
Ensure compliance with professional duties and the firm's internal procedures
Active participation in business development initiatives
Participate in firm wide and team specific training sessions
Manage, organise, and maintain documents in electronic filing systems
Work with a diverse range of clients to offer effective legal solutions

The successful Paralegal candidate will have:
At least 2 years of experience in property and/or civil & commercial litigation
Good understanding of the Civil Procedure Rules
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and professional demeanour
Excellent attention to detail
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, especially Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Strong organisational skills and time management abilities
IT literacy and computer proficiency
Ability to manage time effectively, prioritise tasks and keep deadlines
Working knowledge of case management software
Good research and analytical skills
A proactive and positive work approach
A willingness to learn
A track record of meeting financial targets
Strong commercial experience and awareness
Ability to speak other Languages could also be beneficial
