Adam Bernard Solicitors is seeking an experienced and motivated Litigation Solicitor to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong advocacy skills, proven experience managing contentious matters, and the ability to provide strategic, solution-focused advice to clients.
Key Responsibilities
Manage a varied caseload of civil and commercial litigation matters, including:
Contract disputes
Debt recovery
Landlord and tenant matters
Property disputes
Professional negligence claims
Employment disputes (if applicable)
Small claims and fast-track matters
Draft pleadings, statements of case, witness statements, settlement agreements, and legal correspondence.
Represent clients in court hearings, mediations, and negotiations as required.
Conduct legal research and prepare bundles and case strategies.
Advise clients clearly, professionally, and promptly on case prospects and risks.
Maintain accurate file management in compliance with SRA regulations and firm procedures.
Liaise with counsel, experts, courts, and other stakeholders.
Contribute to business development initiatives, including networking and promoting the firm's litigation services.
Supervise and support junior staff or paralegals when necessary.
Requirements
Qualified Solicitor with a valid practising certificate (PQE flexible; litigation experience essential).
Strong knowledge of civil procedure rules and litigation processes.
Excellent drafting, negotiation, and advocacy skills.
Ability to manage a busy caseload independently with minimal supervision.
Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
Client-focused, professional, and able to handle sensitive matters confidently.
Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
Desirable Skills
Higher Rights of Audience (advantageous but not essential).
Experience in commercial litigation or landlord/tenant disputes.
Familiarity with alternative dispute resolution (ADR) processes.
