Overview

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide high-quality support and assistance to individuals in need of care. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient care, with experience in Alzheimer's and dementia care being particularly valuable.

Responsibilities

Provide personal care to clients, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support clients with daily living activities such as meal preparation and light housekeeping. Administer medication as prescribed and monitor client health conditions. Assist with mobility and transportation needs, including driving clients to appointments or social activities. Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental and emotional well-being. Implement behaviour management techniques as needed to ensure a safe environment. Maintain accurate records of client progress and report any changes to the appropriate healthcare professionals. Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the client's quality of life. Assisting clients to appointments, shopping and daily living

Requirements

Previous experience in caregiving, particularly in assisted living, nursing homes, or hospice care settings is preferred. Knowledge of Alzheimer's care, dementia care, and senior care practices is highly desirable. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families. Certification in first aid and CPR is an advantage. Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary and assist clients with mobility challenges. A valid driving licence is required for transportation duties. Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings and weekends as needed.
