Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various settings, ensuring a welcoming environment for guests and residents. A background in commercial cleaning or hotel housekeeping is advantageous, as well as strong customer service skills. This role may also involve light cooking duties, contributing to a well-rounded hospitality experience.

Responsibilities

Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, common areas, and facilities, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and hygiene are met. Change bed linens, towels, and other amenities as required, maintaining an inviting atmosphere. Dust, vacuum, mop, and sanitise surfaces to uphold cleanliness throughout the premises. Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly. Assist with laundry duties, including washing, drying, folding, and storing linens and personal items. Provide exceptional customer service by responding to guest requests and inquiries with professionalism and courtesy. Occasionally prepare simple meals or snacks as needed for guests or residents.

Skills

Previous experience in commercial cleaning or hotel housekeeping is preferred but not essential. Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with guests and team members. Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Basic cooking skills would be beneficial for meal preparation tasks. Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
