Job Description

We have a wonderful package available for a wonderful lady in London. The client has had a large medical history of dementia, asthma, respiratory failure and more (more information about the client will be stated in the care plan)

As the caregiver, you will play a vital role in supporting the client who has suffered from these medical challenges and ensure she is safe and happy in her home.

The lovely lady has became a little bit more unsociable over the years due to her being in a care home, however she loves to watch TV and spend time in bed.

The shift pattern for this client will be 6pm Sunday- 6pm Thursday

Responsibilities

Assist client with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, grooming, and dressing. Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary requirements and preferences. Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment. Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients for any changes in health status. Assist with mobility and transfers, ensuring safety and comfort at all times. Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients. Document care provided and report any concerns or changes in client condition to appropriate personnel. Drive clients to appointments or social activities as needed. Care for clients little dog, including taking dog for walks/exercises.

Skills

Experience in senior care or home care is highly desirable. Knowledge of dementia care practices is an advantage. Previous experience in hospice care is beneficial but not essential. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and their families. Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Basic cooking skills for meal preparation are required. A valid driving licence is preferred for transportation duties.
Experience:

Home care: 3 years (required)
Education:

GCSE or equivalent (preferred)
