Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nigerian carer who speaks Uruba and can cook African dishes. This In Home Caregiver will provide essential support to service user in her own home. The ideal candidate will have experience in various caregiving settings, including assisted living and nursing homes, and possess the skills necessary to ensure the comfort and well-being of our clients. This role requires a commitment to delivering high-quality care while fostering a supportive environment.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and grooming. Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for clients. Prepare nutritious African meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences. Shoping for African foods Administer medications as prescribed and monitor client health conditions. Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties. Document care provided and report any changes in client condition to appropriate healthcare professionals.

Experience

Previous 3 years of live in experience in a home care, assisted living, or nursing home settings is highly desirable. Familiarity with first aid procedures and medication administration is an asset. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families. A genuine passion for providing care and support to those in need is essential. Please only apply if you have a Dbs online and are a Level 3 caregiver. This position rotates at one week on and one week off, working 5 days per shift.
