Support an elderly person yo continue living in their own home



By becoming a Live-In Smilemaker, you are not only supporting your Client to live a happier and fulfilled life in their own home, but you will also be a vital part of ensuring their family has peace of mind knowing that their loved one is in safe, reliable and caring hands.

Who would this role suit?



Perhaps you have dedicated your time to looking after a relative at home

and now you would like to formalise your self-taught Care experience and become a professional caregiver?

Perhaps you have

experience of Domiciliary Care

driving from house to house and now want the opportunity to focus your kindness and in a single location on a single Client?

Perhaps you have been supporting Clients in a Residential setting

but no longer want to be constantly pulled between the demands of 15 Clients within your 'floor' and endlessly changing agency staff.

Perhaps you've been a self-employed Carer

now looking for the stability and support that come with joining a credible and trust home care provider.

How long will you stay with your client?



Our Clients all live within 15 miles of High Wycombe. You will move into your own bedroom in the client's home for 2 weeks and then take 2 weeks off before returning to the same client. We can discuss other rotation patterns that may also work for you and the client.

What Sort of care & support will you provide?



Our clients depend on their dedicated Live-In Career. Tasks and activities vary from client to client but may include:

Companionship (chatting, reading, board games and cards) Personal care (washing, dressing, toileting) Meal preparation Housework and domestic duties Mental and physical stimulation Medication monitoring and prompting Shopping trips Assistance with mobility Social visit to see friends and family Running the home Basic administration

Training, pay and employment status?



You will become an employee of Right at Home High Wycombe with full in-house training, an employment contract and your salary paid directly into your bank account. This

is not

a self-employed role where you are responsible for you own tax, personal liability insurance, compliance, PPE etc.

The rate of pay is linked to the complexity of the Client's needs and starts at 750 per week. You will also benefit from holiday pay, employers National Insurance contributions and pension contributions.

Living costs whilst staying with a Client are also exceptionally low as your meals and accommodation are provided so this role offers a great opportunity to save up for a rainy day or a significant purchase or house deposit etc.
