Flexible live-in patterns.Sleeping night
typically 10pm-7am (may be woken occasionally).The role
Provide one-to-one, person-centred support for an adult with
C4/5 SCI
living at home. You'll follow a clear clinical plan and keep the client safe, comfortable and engaged.Friendly big dog in house and tobacco/medicinal cannabis smoking.
Key duties
Respiratory support (incl. inspiratory muscle training,
Cough Assist
, manual assisted cough) Neurogenicbowel care
(suppositories, digital stimulation, DRF)Suprapubic catheter
care Safe moves & handling withfull-body/gantry hoist
; positioning, stretches & passive exercises to manage spasticity/pain Monitor/escalate forautonomic dysreflexia (AD)
andpostural hypotension
Daily living support, hydration/nutrition, medication prompts, record-keeping and handoversAbout you
Proven
SCI
experience (bowel care, hoisting, respiratory support) Full UK driving licence (WAV confident) preferred Right to work in the UK;Enhanced DBS
(or willing to obtain) Due to intimate personal care,female applicants only
